Stylish Sunglasses to Wear from Season to Season

No matter the season, New York women are rarely seen without the essentials: killer shoes, a place to go and hot sunglasses. While shoes and social events may change per season, sunglasses are those perfect classic accessories that can be worn throughout the year, without the need to purchase new styles or silhouettes. Take aviator shades for example. In the summer with cutoffs, a t-shirt and sandals, these gems can be worn all day and into the evenings. During the cold weather months, they will be flawless with your favorite leather bomber, jeans and stylish boots. Selena Gomez looks chic with her rendition of this winter look – dark aviators, worn-looking leather jacket and oversized fringe scarf.
Another popular option easy to don this winter then carry right through the spring and summer months are either a classic wayfarer or cateye frame in a basic hue, or more boldly, with a fun pattern. From tortoise patterns to feminine polka dots or chic pinstripes, these stylish frames, complete with their vintage nature, have been transformed into modern day must-haves that look just-right with casual wear and are also perfectly appropriate with a sheath dress and heels. A pregnant Gwen Stefani recently stepped out in patterned cateye frames looking as stylish as ever. If patterns aren’t your preference, look for these silhouettes with just a little bit of bling, such as small crystals or rhinestones.
Of course, when in doubt with eyewear, go big. Oversized frames tend to add an air of celebrity style to any outfit, as many celebs prefer shades that, just like their wallets, are as big as possible. While all of us normal folk might not have the need to hide from the paparazzi, we do occasionally have the need to disguise tired eyes and on those days, oversized shades can easily be relied upon to do the job.
When shopping for shades this winter, look to the above classic styles that can easily be worn for seasons to come, keeping you chic regardless of the weather.
