An Open Letter to All You Thinspiration Fitness Freaks...

He will be the first first guy to tell you that being thin and fit is a great thing. But lately He has noticed a trend of girls taking to the gym and going a bit too far to the extreme. Bulging biceps and ripped abs are just a few of the traits these girls have decided are a good look. Well here is the honest truth - it doesn’t look good. You have taken fitness too far and have gone from being hot good looking girls, to scary fitness junkies.

While flat stomachs are extremely sexy, a little cut in the hip is hot as hell, ripped abs are not attractive on a girl in any way. Want to show off a tiny bit of six pack abs, go for it, but no guy wants to see a fully ripped pack of abs, no way, no how. We don’t want a girl who can out bench us in the weight room, nor do we want a girl with built extremely defined arms. Bulging biceps, not sexy. Arms and shoulders can be very sexy on a girl, a hidden attribute, but the way you girls are lifting weights and defining your muscles, you have taken hot girls and turned them into muscle machines.

Go get ready for summer, but let's be smart about it.

  1. I guarantee that the women with more muscle mass are healthier than the one below that that you are calling "good" while the others" bad". I think no BODY is bad as long as it's achieved in a healthy way...those are just opinions whether they are "sexy" or "good" or whatever.

    1. i think thats a pretty big judgement are your part assuming that because they are jacked they are automatically healthier...but you correct, these are just opinions, my opinions, which im entitled too

    1. those men aren't writers for our blog

  3. Cute how you seem to think what a woman chooses to look like is any of your business. And by cute I mean disgusting.

  4. Dude, maybe they aren't doing it with you in mind? Ever consider that maybe they are happy with the way they look, and that your opinion really doesn't matter.

  5. No, this is where you spew your derogatory and gross female body policing as if women don't have to deal with this shit every single day of our lives.

Hey, maybe I should make a blog about what ALL men should and should not look like. Because I speak for the entire female population. My opinions on how defined their abdominal muscles should be are obviously more important than say their health or happiness. I mean, it's not like it's THEIR bodies or anything. It's not like my unnecessary and demeaning opinions are unwanted. Everything men do with their bodies is for women, right? They always care what we think.

Bodies are bodies; they're not accessories or handbags. We don't buy them in stores. You don't get to narrow down them down into fashionable and unfashionable categories like you're selling them on a runway. Do you actually think because you have your "entitled" opinions that no one's allowed to call you out on them?

You are actually making women into things. You've made them their bodies and erased their identities. Do actually not understand how gross that is?

    1. Thanks shannon and I would encourage you to start a blog telling men what to look like, im sure you would get a lot of readers, as most men are wondering what women want

all i simply said was that jacked looking bodies arent necessary, that women don't need to go to the gym 247 to achieve the look, they can still be healthy and fit without bulging muscles

    2. But you're missing the point where it's not ABOUT YOU. Women were not created for you. They were not created for your pleasure. They are not pieces of art you hang on your wall to stare at all day. They. Are. Not. Things. And first and foremost women are not their bodies.

When you create two categories of "good" or "bad" and shove women into them, you are saying that the most important thing about them is their bodies. You are saying that all women should bend and break to fit your perimeters because your opinion, and not theirs, is the one that matters.

You can brush your posts off as things you "simply said" but that doesn't erase the horrible effects and connotations they have in a society where people continually think it's okay to do things like this. You are feeding a huge, influential shit storm of female body policing and taking away the small power women have over their own bodies by letting them know if they don't look exactly like you want, like "all men" want, then they aren't worth your time. They're nothing more than a body thrown into the "bad category." You've made them things. And that is utterly disgusting.

    3. i think you are missing the point...having abs and muscles like that is choice, god didnt push them out of the womb looking like that, these woman made a decision to go to the gym daily and left weights etc to get in that shape...all i am simply saying is i prefer woman who dont have huge muscles...

  6. You really don't get it. By you saying that you prefer women one way over another let's the women you //don't// prefer know that they are insignificant and unworthy. What about all the different body types not listed here? What are those women supposed to think about themselves?
All you're doing is spreading misogyny for the sake of having a feeling of superiority and influence over women and their bodies.

    1. so do you like all woman? or do you have specific type of woman you prefer? i am sure that as a man you do, because there is no way you are a man who like every type of woman...so just like you i too have a preference

what about all the other body types not listed here? they have nothing to do with this article...this article is a message to girls who go to the gym too much and work out to build big mucles, i prefer they not go as large with their biceps and abs

    2. Well being that I'm a gay man, I don't have a type of woman that I prefer. Even if I were to have an opinion on the subject, it is //not my place to openly voice how I believe women should look//. Just as it is not my place to tell other men how to look

      Delete
    3. but you do have a type of man? yes? i would assume so, and i have a type of woman...it might not be your place, and it might not be my place, but i started a blog and you didn't, people choose to read my blog, and apparently liked it enough to return

do you support magazines and fashion that only shows thin woman? aren't you in a sense then supporting the looks they portray?

if people dont like or agree with my opinions they dont have to read the site...but im entitled to my opinion

and i think there are plenty of straight men who would encourage woman to start a similar blog and tell guys what they like and dont like, hell id read it, i would love to know what girls are thinking about outfits, clothing, fashion, body types etc

  8. My goodness, why are people overreacting so much?? I love this blog, and I am definitely not stick thin, or buff! This blog is a light hearted look at fashion (with excellent taste)! To be fair, half the people in this blog wouldnt be on it if they weren't wearing something that you would want to look twice at..and it is in public, so people are allowed to have an opinion of what they wear!

If a garment does not suit your body right, anyone can tell.

  9. I'm not saying I always agree with everything that is posted either, but I see it as His (:-P) opinion on something (fashion, what He finds sexy - btw I love that you love ankle cleavage, very sexy). To be honest, He loves the female body!

You don't have to agree with everyone's point of view. But! This is His page, and you came here seeking his opinion.

    2. No one gives a shit about your validation, especially when it comes from a misogynist prick. Women don't exist on this planet to please YOUR tastes, asshole.

And yeah you're right, you do have the right to express your opinion, but that also means we have the right to tell you to shut the fuck up once you do express your dumbass bigoted opinion.

      You're a basic bitch.

      K bye.

    3. where to start...obviously name calling doesn't bother you a whole lot, so we get agree on that...and while we appreciate you telling us to shut the fuck up...there is no plan for that to happen...

we do appreciate your comments and look forward to more colorful ones
